Profit From The
Secondary Domain Market
After 4 years of being available
only to 'insiders', the domain listing service, Nightly Name Dump, was open for public subscriptions,
during 2006. Unfortunately due to its success was closed again as over
subscribed. You can register to be informed when the list reopens.

This service delivers subscribers a
listing of domains 5 days a week. Each listing contains around a few
hundred domain names.
How is the service different from
the many expired domain name services? Well, there are 3 basic
differences:
1. With expired domain services,
you get listings of domains that *may* be expiring soon. All domains on
NND's lists were available to register at the time that the lists are
emailed out.
I checked a recent listing that was
distributed to subscribers and found that out of the 320 domains, only
18 of them were registered by the time I was able to check the list.
2. With expired domain listing
services, you only find out about domains that have recently expired and
are soon to be available. NND's lists often include domains that have
never been registered.
3. With expired domain lists, you
will find yourself having to sift through a ton of 'junk' names that
have no value in order to find one or two nuggets. Even then, you'll
have to chase these domains and wait for them to be available to
register - likely competing against many hundreds of others that are
aware of these domains. With all of NND's lists, they are pre-screened by
a human. All the junk names have been removed.
Is a subscription to Nightly Name
Dump worth it? I guess it depends on what your motivation is. If you're
interested in setting up pages to promote affiliate programs; if you
want to get involved in the secondary domain market business (i.e.
resell domains) or are just looking for domains for specific projects -
I'd say it could save you a lot of time and energy. Just one decent
domain name can be worth the price of an annual subscription.
